Biographical Information

Fredric A. Berger, CLU, ChFC, MSFS, FALU, FLMI. Currently working on Cerified Senior Advisoe designation to help in working with seniors.

President and Chief Underwriting Medical Director at Berger Insurance Services

Born in the Philadelphia area, Fred attended Temple University graduating with a BA in psychology in 1971. He began in the insurance industry shortly after college and military service as an Officer in the Army Reserves. Most of the 40 years in insurance has been in underwriting and underwriting management. Fred has earned his CLU, ChFC, MSFS, FALU and FLMI degrees. In 1996 through August 2000 Fred was the Vice President of Underwriting Services at a major life insurance Brokerage House. On September 1, 2000, Fred founded Berger Inusrance Services and Underwriting Solutions, the Specialist in Life Insurance placement. 

Fred has extensive underwriting experience in large case underwriting with Fidelity Mutual, First Capital Life, Geico Life and numerous impaired risks companies. His experience also includes underwriting in reinsurance (Transamerica Re and NRG). He has managed underwriting departments at First Capital and Garden State Life. Today Fred is still an active speaker for many underwriting groups and also a seminar coordinator for national underwriting classes. He has written articles for industry publications and a regular underwriting newsletter for several years. Fred has been past President Delaware Valley Underwriters Club and Southern California Underwriters Association. 

Instructor of Finance at the University of Phoenix. Fred is also in the 1997/ 1998 and 2003/ 2004"Directory of Who's Who of Executives and Professionals". Former Chairman of Oceanside Transportation Commission. Fred was the host and producer of a special series cable talk show on Disabled Persons.
